Cellulite affects 90% of women (even the slimmest and most athletic), the result of both fat storage in adipocytes (fat cells) and water retention in the body. As the adipocytes grow, the connective tissue that contains them (septa) pulls on the skin surface causing dimpling. At the same time, circulation is blocked, and toxins accumulate. That is when cellulite appears. There are 3 types of cellulite:
Smooth Cellulite
AQUEOUS
This type of cellulite is caused by excess water stored in your skin tissue. This occurs when lymphatic and circulation are compromised. Aqueous cellulite isn't painful and isn't as visible when you pinch the affected areas. It is important to drain toxins and reactivate circulatory exchanges.
ADIPOSE
Fat is stored in fat cells that lie between the skin and the muscle underneath. The fat cells are grouped together into large collections that are separated by fibrous strands - the septa. These septa run vertically between the muscle and the skin, especially in women (in men, they tend to run in more of a crisscross pattern, including over the thighs and buttocks). As the fat cells expand with weight gain, the gap between muscle and skin expands, but unfortunately, the septa cannot stretch. This results in the dimpling characteristic of cellulite. It is necessary to stimulate natural fat release.
FIBROUS
Your cellulite is fibrous when the collagen fibers that surround the fat cells harden. It is hard to the touch and hurts when you pinch it. Often located on the legs and knees. This type of cellulite is harder to get rid of because it has been present for a long time, is compact, and is often painful. The tissues must first be softened before fibrous cellulite can be removed.
Left untreated, circulation and lymphatic drainage are compromised as the Adipose deposits increase, squeezing shut the small vessels that supply the skin, increasing fluid retention and decreasing oxygenation of the tissues, leading to Aqueous cellulite and eventually to Fibrous cellulite.
THE SOLUTION
With the new patented Alliance treatment head, endermologie® stimulates the skin and fatty tissue to soften them and make them less fibrous. At the same time, this stimulation helps to release fat and to activate blood and lymphatic circulation.
Simultaneously, the mechanical action of the treatment head stimulates natural fat release and firms skin to give it back its tonicity and a dimple-free aspect.
Thanks to the Alliance Skin Identity system, the therapist can adapt the stimulation to each skin’s identity: treatment intensity is optimized, in total respect of the skin.
After just 3 sessions, cellulite is reduced (67%*), giving way to smoother, softer skin.
